Stuart Smith MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CEN, graduating Cume Lade honors, earned his Bachelor in Science of Nursing degree from Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in 2012. His passion for emergency medicine began in 2011 at Baylor Medical Center of Irving in which he assisted in providing care for over 75,000 patients per year.
Stu practiced as the code blue team leader and instructor for Ultrasound-guided peripheral inserted central catheter placement. He obtained his National Board Certification as an Emergency Nurse before returning again to TWU to pursue his Master’s Degree. While working full time in emergency medicine, Stu graduated with his Master’s of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
In addition to urgent care, Stu practices in rural medicine providing guidance to under-served populations and providing compassionate care to multiple family generations from birth to death. In his time off Stu enjoys hiking, camping, and archery with his beautiful wife and 2-year-old daughter. More than anything, he has the heart to serve and is ready and willing to get you and your family back on the road to good health.
